AboutMe.jpg

It's nice to meet you!

With ten years of experience in massage therapy, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every session. I hold certifications in various massage techniques, including Neuromuscular Massage, Prenatal/ Postpartum Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques and Myofascial Release. You can trust that you're in good hands with me.

I want to help your body help you!

Like many of us, you may be dealing with muscle imbalances that lead to pain and discomfort. I understand that our busy lives often leave little time and energy to address these issues. Our responsibilities fill our schedules, and self-care can easily get pushed to the side. Our bodies bear the weight of our world, and they can become run down. I'm here to help you find relief and restore balance.

Massage and bodywork are not just about addressing pain. They can have a profound positive impact on every system in your body. Massage can boost the production of feel-good hormones, while reducing the stress hormone cortisol. Who doesn't need more of those feel-good hormones in their life? I'm here to help your body help you, and to bring more balance and joy into your life.

I incorporate various massage techniques into each session, based on your individual needs, to restore balance to your soft tissues. For instance, I may use deep tissue techniques to target specific areas of tension, Myofascial Release to stretch and release the connective tissues, Muscle Energy Techniques to improve muscle function, Cupping to promote blood flow and healing, and Trigger Point Therapy to alleviate pain and discomfort. These techniques are all designed to provide you with the most effective and beneficial massage experience.

A Note About Prenatal and Postpartum Massage

I'm so grateful for the many years I spent learning about pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Because of my experience and certifications, I have a unique understanding of how much massage can help mothers.

Along with addressing the common discomforts of pregnancy, regular, appropriate Prenatal Massage can help your body adjust to the postural changes you're experiencing and encourage good positioning of the baby, leading to smoother labor and delivery.

When working with a certified and knowledgeable Massage Therapist, a healthy woman can receive a massage at any point in her pregnancy, and it's ideal to start early! It's important to note that prenatal and postpartum massage is safe when performed by a trained professional who understands the unique needs and considerations of these stages. I have extensive training and experience in this area, ensuring that you and your baby are in safe hands.
